Welcome to Nature Den.
Together we can let warm hearts and creative minds thrive
If you are seeking a place where your child can grow with nature, develop emotionally, and be deeply seen, you are in the right place.
At Nature Den, we believe children thrive when they are held by a village — a consistent, caring community where they are known, supported, and free to grow at their own pace. Nature becomes our shared ground, where relationships form, skills emerge, and resilience is built together.
Our forest school programmes offer children and teens a meaningful blend of outdoor learning and personal development, nurturing:
Wellbeing and emotional resilience
Socio-emotional and relational skills
Creativity and imagination
Initiative and entrepreneurial thinking
A respectful, lasting connection with the natural world
When the village returns, the child thrives — and learning becomes something lived, felt, and carried forward into life.
Rooted in community and guided by nature, our work supports children not just to learn — but to belong.

Embrace a Supportive Community School Experience
What is a Community School?
To us, a community school is more than a place of learning—it is a living support network, reminiscent of the close-knit kampongs of old Singapore, where children were known, cared for, and grew up together.
Since our founding in 2018, we have intentionally built a community where families and learners grow alongside one another. Families on subsidy or scholarship are invited to contribute through volunteering in various roles, strengthening shared ownership and mutual care within the community.
Learners can join us from as early as three or four years old and progress through our developmental stages—Juniors, Seniors (Lower and Upper), Middle School and College—within the same familiar environment. Rather than experiencing repeated “goodbyes” at major transitions such as K2/P1 or P6/Sec 1, children return weekly to the same friends, mentors, and spaces.
This continuity allows trust, belonging, and long-lasting friendships to take root. Over time, the school becomes a second home—a place where children are deeply known and where relationships, not just outcomes, matter.
Like the kampongs of old, our community school is a place where everyone knows one another, the environment feels safe and familiar, and growth happens naturally through shared life, care, and connection.

Track Record of Success And Growth
Besides demonstrated success stories and testimonials from satisfied families who have experienced the transformative benefits of our forest school programs, as of June 2024, all our Primary 6 learners whom we assisted in applying for Direct School Admission (DSA) for secondary schools have achieved a 100% success rate in their applications.
Our ongoing weekly reviews and periodic profiling assessments show upward growth or significant improvement in our learners' physical and motor skills, emotional intelligence, language and communication abilities, as well as their overall well-being and engagement levels.
Cultivating Confidence, Connection, and Care: A Learner-Driven Approach with a Global Perspective
We are a team that is committed to excellence and partnership with the community. Refer to our unique fee guideline.
In our programs, learners enjoy autonomy with safe boundaries, fostering intrinsic motivation, resilience, and engagement. This nurturing environment empowers them to grow in confidence and well-being, with strong friendships, emotional support, and attention to their individual needs.
Nature Den is also humbled to be The Therapeutic Forest CIC (UK)’s first Approved Practitioner in Asia. We are trained to work with all children, neurodiverse or typical.
Learner-driven, World-centered. In essence, we are staunch advocates of learner-driven pedagogy. We firmly believe that autonomy fosters motivation to learn. Concurrently, our curriculum is world-centered, emphasizing the significance of our learners' awareness of the environment and their impact on others (and vice-versa).
Our Curriculum: Self-Directed Learning and Mastery
Adaptability in a Rapidly Changing World
In today’s world, the pace of change is unprecedented. Technologies evolve within years, social norms shift within generations, and the skills required to thrive are no longer static. Adaptability—sometimes called currency—has become essential. Children today are growing up in an environment that demands flexibility, discernment, and the ability to respond meaningfully to constant change. Our curriculum honours this reality by cultivating learners who are not merely reactive, but grounded, resilient, and capable of navigating uncertainty with confidence and care.
From Self-Regulation to Self-Actualisation
Self-regulation is a foundational life skill. It is not just about behaviour, but about emotional resilience—the capacity to experience, process, and integrate a full range of emotions. When children feel supported by a safe and attuned community, they regulate more naturally, freeing energy for growth, curiosity, and purpose. Our curriculum moves intentionally from self-regulation toward self-actualisation through immersive, real-world experiences. When the “village” returns—when children are held by consistent relationships, shared responsibility, and meaningful roles—the child thrives.
Human Relations as a Core Subject
We advocate for Human Relations to be a fundamental subject in education and integrate it deeply into our programmes. How we relate—to ourselves, to others, and to the world—shapes mental health, learning, and belonging. A national survey found that 25.3 per cent of young people were dealing with mental health conditions in 2022, highlighting the urgency of strengthening connection, empathy, and relational skills from an early age.
From Ego to Eco
Young children naturally begin from a place of ego—focused on their own needs and perspectives. With thoughtful guidance and secure relationships, they mature into individuals who care for others and the environment. This shift from ego to eco reflects nature’s principle of interdependence and supports the development of healthier, more secure psyches. In the forest school environment, learners encounter real conflicts and shared challenges—valuable moments to explore values, boundaries, needs, and repair. Over time, they are gently guided to ask: What kind of person do I want to be? Together, we tend to the roots of humanity.
Our curriculum nurtures the emotions (the heart), the community (the mind), and a sense of purpose (the body and soul).
Why do we need an innovative approach to education?
The world our children are inheriting is complex, fast-moving, and often overwhelming. Academic knowledge alone cannot prepare them for this reality. Children need space to discover their passions, practise real-life skills, and be supported by a community that nurtures their emotional and social development. When learning is relational, experiential, and meaningful, young people grow into resilient, creative, and emotionally intelligent individuals—able to adapt, contribute, and thrive.
